The invention relates to a safety device for the transported system on board a vehicle, in particular of an aircraft, which is connected to the structure of the vehicle by at least one element having a cylindrical body and to the telescopic rod. According to the invention, the body (101) and the rod (102) of the telescopic element (100) delimit two fluid chambers (103, 104), which are normally isolated from each other, a communication passage (110) being provided, and normally closed by an associated throttling valve (111), which is controlled by a means (120) sensitive to the acceleration using a mass (121) movable in the direction of the axis (x) of the telescopic element and a calibrated spring (122) associated with this mass. The means (120) is arranged to trigger the opening of the valve (111) as soon as the acceleration detected exceeds a predetermined threshold as a function of the system to be protected, the modification of the length of the telescopic element (100), thus keeping the acceleration of the system by - below said threshold.
