Osteosynthesis device comprising fixators (16) inserted in the bone ends (13, 15) of a fractured bone or vertebra, with two rigid rods (14) connecting said fixators. The invention is characterized in that each fixator comprises a seat element (18, 118, 218) having a lower face (22, 122, 222) and an upper face (24, 124, 224), each seat element being directly secured to the bone (10) by at least one anchoring screw, the lower face (22, 122, 222) of each seat element being opposite one another and resting on the cortical substance of the bone, and each rigid connecting rod (14) being inserted in a groove (32, 132, 232) formed in said upper face (24, 124, 224) of each seat element; a cap (20, 120, 220) for locking the rods (14), with the lower face (38, 138, 238) thereof coming into engagement with said rods (14); means for clamping said cap (20, 120, 220) to said rods (14) and means for securing said seat element (18, 118, 228) to the bone (10).
