Process for visualising images of adjustable size in field of view for motor vehicle driving simulator

The image visualisation process involves utilising a graphics machine (6) equipped with an electronic calculator which generates a video signal and sends it through a single high resolution graphics channel (7) to two different high resolution display systems (8,9). Electronic units (10) placed in front of the display system create masking shutters which control the size of the image shown. The same graphic image (3) is shown in adjacent zones (1,2) on a screen (4). Each zone is individually masked either from side to side or vertically to create for the driver a viewing window (5) whose dimensions may be varied according to use.
