DRUG FOR COMMON COLD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a drug for common cold for promoting antiinflammatory analgesic function against inflammation of the respiratory tract caused by common cold and capable of expressing excellent removing of alleviating effect on the symptom of common cold by compounding ibuprofen and/or acetaminophen with clarithromycin as active components. ;SOLUTION: At least one of ibuprofen and acetaminophen, and clarithromycin are used as active components. The daily doses for an adult of these component are 200-600mg, 150-1200mg and 100-600mg for ibuprofen, acetaminophen and clarithromycin, respectively. Further, the objective drug for common cold is orally administered in one or several divided doses generally in daily dose of 450-1800mg of active components per an adult. The drug for common cold is optionally compounded with a supplementary agent such as an antipyretic analgesic, an antitussive, an antihistaminic of a Chinese medicine besides active components.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
