PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to reset the dislocated mandibular joint disk to a normal state and to fix this disk by constituting this device in such a manner that the height of the denture mounted at the position of a back tooth is vertically adjustable. ;SOLUTION: This mandibular joint disk position setting device has a lifting mechanism 10 to vertically move only the one piece out of four pieces of the denture fixed onto a base plate 3 formed to a rectangular box shape. This lifting mechanism 10 is composed of a box type nut 5 joined to a denture fixing plate 8-1 for fixing the innermost molar, a spiral body 4 screwed to this box type nut 5, a pulley 6 for transmitting rotation to this spiral body 4, an endless belt 7, a pulley 17, a rotary ring 12, etc. Then, if this rotary ring 12 is rotated, its rotating force is transmitted through the pulley 17, the endless belt 7 and the pulley 17 to the spiral body 4. Since the three sizes of the box type nut 5 are enclosed by the side walls of the base plate 3, its rotation is prohibited and the nut is moved upward.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
