PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition having an improved water solubility, a stable efficacy and reduced adverse effects by making irsogladine maleate having a therapeutic effect as a mucous protective anti-peptic ulcer agent as amorphous composition by using a specific amorphous form inducing agent. ;SOLUTION: This composition containing irsogladine maleate is obtained by mixing a crystalline irsogladine maleate with a hydroxymethylcellulose and a polyethylene glycol as amorphous form inducing agents, and the obtained composition can be prepared as a solid preparation.
