PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a synthesis inhibitor capable of effectively improving and curing a physiological state of a disease such as type I diabetes or rheumatoid arthritis by using a specific protein polysaccharide as an active component. ;SOLUTION: This synthesis inhibitor uses a protein polysaccharide derived from a mycelium, a cultured substance or a basidiocarp of a basidiomycete belonging to genus Coriolus as an active component. The active component can suppress synthesis of heat-shock protein having 57-68kDa molecular weight and cure an autoimmune disease. As a typical example of a protein polysaccharide derived from a basidiomycete belonging to genus Coriolus in the active component, a polysaccharide generally named as PSK is preferably used.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
