PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and surely regenerate an electroless nickel plating bath or an electroless nickel-alloy plating bath without mixing harmful impurities. ;SOLUTION: To an aging soln. of an electroless nickel plating bath containing a water-soluble nickel salt, hypophosphorous acid or its salt as a reducing agent, a water-insoluble nickel salt is added by ≥0.1mol to one mol of phosphorous acid ion produced in the aging soln. The precipitate comprising nickel phosphite is removed to regenerate the electroless nickel plating bath. Thus, the phosphorous acid ion can be surely removed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
