PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the ice charging efficiency in an ice storage tank by providing a supercooling relieving member made of two or more kinds of materials having different susceptibilities to ice coating formation in an upper portion of the ice storage tank. ;SOLUTION: This supercooling relieving member 11 comprises a first relieving member 12 (e.g. silicone rubber, Teflon, etc.) having a lower susceptibility to ice coating formation and a second relieving member 13 (e.g. stainless steel plate) having a higher susceptibility to ice coating formation. Supercooled water supercooled in a heat exchanger is made to strike against a center part of a bent portion of the first relieving member 12 through a nozzle 7a of a supercooled water return line 7 so that supercooling is relieved to change into ice and water and is randomly dispersed in an ice storage tank 3 and falls, and some of the ice adheres to the second relieving member 13. The ice adhering and growing on the second relieving member falls when becoming unable to bear selfweight thereof Because supercooled state is surely relieved from a period of starting manufacture of supercooled water and ice and water are made to fall separately, icicles are difficult to grow so that ice charging efficiency in an ice storage tank 73 can be enhanced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
