PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assembling a plate-shaped corrugated fiberboard container material quickly and a simple apparatus which is used for the method. SOLUTION: A corrugated fiberboard container material 2 is placed on the first jig 11 which erected the first molding member 14, the second molding member 15, and the third molding member 16 on a support plate 12, the second jig 31 is brought down from above the material 2 to push the bottom surface part 2a of the material 2 into a recession surrounded by the first molding member 14 and the second molding member 15. In this way, reinforcing pieces 2c of four corners are raised a little, and then the first side surface parts 2b and the second side surface parts 2d of four sides are raised to assemble the material 2 into a box shape. After that, by rotating an inserted claw 22 attached to the first jig 11, the folding parts 2e of the material 2 are folded inside to make constitution to assemble the container so that the container can be assembled quickly and simply.
