PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find a means for readily and simply detecting the water leaking damaged part of an execution body. ;SOLUTION: A material 2 with a water-absorbing and swelling function is arranged on the lower surface of an execution body, which is predicted to have water leaking external damage, and is swollen by water which has leaked from or has entered from an externally damaged part 3 of the execution body due to the generation of the external damage of the execution body, thus confirming the leaking state of the swollen material 2 at the damaged part. The water-absorbing and swelling function material 2 basically consists of a flexible binder, a water-absorbing polymer powder which swells in volume several tens times to several hundreds times of the dead weight due to water absorption, a filler, a plasticiser, a dispersant, and an antioxidant, further a composition obtained by adding one or more of a color development agent or a fluorescent pigment, a substance for scattering light for easily locating the water-leaked and externally damaged part 3 are added to the agents, is turned into a sheet shape, and further the sheet-shaped material is formed into paste or solution shape where the sheet-shaped material is laminated on one surface or both surfaces of a base made of the sheet-shaped object containing water-absorbing fiber before application.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
