PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate and display the cumulative total money amount of purchased merchandises with free hands by configurating a subject device so as to be freely attachable/detachable to/from a existing conventional basket in a supermarket. ;SOLUTION: A portable casing is provided with an input means 2a inputting a merchandise price, a central processing unit(CPU) calculating inputted data, a storage part storing data and a display means 5a displaying and outputting calculated data, a restraining fixture 6a is provided together with on the external jacket of the casing and the casing is mounted so as to be freely detachable from the merchandise carrying basket. Input data may be information such as the sales price of the sales merchandise, which is inputted at a seller side, and also may be the value in the purchase price of the purchased merchandise, which is inputted at a customer side, and the input means 2a may be a barcode reader. Further, the displaying means 5a displaying and outputting calculated data and a printer printing and outputting data may be provided together and a burglar preventing equipment may be provided on the casing for preventing burglary.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
