PURPOSE: To provide a fluorophotometry microscope capable of facilitating the handling of a device and also drastically improving the operability. ;CONSTITUTION: In the microscope, the surface of a sample 17 is irradiated with a laser beam functioning as exciting light emitted from a laser beam generator 11 for generating the laser beam, then, the fluorecence generated on the surface of the sample 17 is received by photorecepter elements 21a and 21b, and as for a separating member 12 for separating the exciting light emitted to the sample 17 from the fluorescence emitted from the sample 17, a total reflection area 122 which is slightly larger than the diameter of the exciting light is formed on the central part of the disk-like glass substrate 121, then, the exciting light having a small luminous flux diameter is reflected by the total reflection area 122, and the fluorescence having a large luminous flux diameter is transmitted through parts functioning as a transmissive area other than the total reflection area 122 of the glass substrate 121.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
