PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the fitting structure and increase the safety of the vibration control of a structure, by fitting bracings with a specified distance between a column and the bracings when fixing the bracings provided with a passive vibration-control damper, between upper and lower steel frame beams. ;SOLUTION: Stiffeners 7 are provided at the positions deviated from the both ends of a steel frame beam 2 by about 1.5-2 times the beam depth and bracings 5 provided with a passive vibration-control damper 6 are welded and fixed at the positions. In this case, the passive vibration-control damper 6 can be directly fixed to the steel frame beam 2. Then, the steel frame beam 2 is easily fixed to steel frame columns 1 through gusset plates 3 by high-strength bolts 4 without use of end plates or the like. In a large earthquake, the energy is absorbed by the passive vibration-control damper 6. And in a larger earthquake, a bending-yield hinge set at the end of beam 2 is actuated to increase the vibration-resistant safety of the structure.
