INNER CAPACITY MEASURING METHOD FOR SAMPLE INJECTION TUBE IN TOTAL ORGANIC CARBON METER

PURPOSE: To obtain a method for accurately measuring the inner capacity of a sample injection tube in total organic carbon meter. ;CONSTITUTION: After discharging solution in an injection tube 3e, a valve 8a is switched to the cleaning water container 18 side and a piston 8b' is pulled down from the uppermost part by means of a stepping motor 8d for syringe thus injecting a cleaning water into the syringe 8b. A slider 3a is then slid to communicate the injection tube 3e with a drain tube 3d or it is removed from the slider 3a and the valve 8a is switched to the injection tube 3e side. Subsequently, the stepping motor 8d is driven to elevate the piston 8b' thus injecting the cleaning liquid into the sample injection tube 3e. A CPU 8g detects the cleaning water being discharged from the sample injection tube 3e based on the operation of a keyboard 8h being carried out through a sensor 3c or visual observation of an operator. The CPU 8g counts the number of pulses being fed to the stepping motor 8d before the cleaning water is discharged and determines the inner capacity of sample injection tube 3e based on the number of pulses.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
