PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use fibers as an ink absorbing material and to obtain the ink absorbing material, etc., which are suitable well for an ink tank with a complex shape by having an outer surface which is equal or corresponds to the shape of the inner surface of a housing, compressing a fiber block and being made from a fiber material which is molded by compressing a fiber block and at least by heating the surface. ;SOLUTION: Ink absorbing materials 24, 25, 26 which are placed in an area (hereafter called ink absorbing material receiving part) which is surrounded by the housing of an ink tank 20 and a partition member have an outer surface which is equal or corresponds to the uneven shape of the inner surface of an ink absorbing material receiving part, respectively.
