DISPLAYING OF LINKING DATA IN KNITTED FABRIC-DESIGNING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to visually grasp linking data by assigning and marking the positions of linking stitches for arbitrary stitches on a knitted fabric image formed on the basis of design information. ;SOLUTION: In this knitted fabric-designing system, the image of a knitted fabric is formed with an engineering work station which is a means for treating the image on the basis of design information comprising a knitted fabric shape and a stitch structure inputted with a key board and a coordinate-inputting device, and subsequently outputted and displayed on a color display. Linking stitch positions for arbitrary stitches T including front stitches and back stitches constituting the image of the knitted fabric are assigned with the input means, and marks are subsequently put on the stitches T corresponding to the assigned positions on the knitted fabric image with an image-treating means. Or, the linking stitch positions are computed with the image-treating means, and the stitches T of the knitted fabric image are assigned with the coordinate-inputting device.
