PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively transport rush seedlings with a root part side transporting belt formed in the feeding part of a device for packing rush seedlings into a cassette, capable of mounting the root side of a rush seedling. ;SOLUTION: The device for packing rush seedlings into a cassette is equipped with a root part side transporting belt 2 and a tip of a stem and leaf part side transporting belt 3 respectively mounting and transporting the root part 1a and the tip side of the stem and leaf part 1b of the rush seedling at the feeding part of a device body in parallel. Then many sponge bodies 2a respectively provided with a recessed place 6 for dropping the root part 1a of the rush seedling 1 on their tops are formed by thickening to be a quadrangle by a top view, and the lower face of each sponge body 2a arranged so as to bring the lateral sides of adjacent sponge bodies 2a in contact with each other is respectively stuck to the outer peripheral surface of one flat belt to constitute the root part side transporting belt 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
