PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device, a reproducing device, a recording method, and a reproducing method which are capable of successively recording and reproducing multiple carriers, and to provide carriers used therefor. ;SOLUTION: A successive recording means and method are provided by recording on an optical carrier a first link information which indicates that it is a recorded data extending over two or more optical carriers (an ID indicating an original linking optical carrier, a track No. of an original link) and a second link information (an ID of an optical carrier to be linked, track number of the original link, track number to be linked) and a successive reproducing means and method and carriers are provided by reading the content information recorded on the optical carrier.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
