URBAN AREA MODEL MAKING DEVICE FOR WIND TUNNEL TEST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of reproducing an urban area model easily and in a short term without needs for special and technological skill in making the urban area model. ;SOLUTION: This is a device to make an urban area model used for a wind tunnel test on a table 1, being provided with a layer 2' where many needle-shape members 2 closely queue up along the perpendicular direction in a horizontal plane under table 1, installing under this layer 2' a dot machine 6 set in traverse device 4, and plane information on the urban area to be reproduced as the urban area model and height information corresponding to this plane information are inputted to a computer 5 beforehand. And based on the plane information, the dot machine 3, moving in the direction of XY by a driving traverse device 4, projects the needle-shape member 3' on the table 1 by the unit of a specified small number of the member only by the height based on the height information via the vertically movable member 3', thus, the ruggedness corresponding to the urban area model is reproduced on the table 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
