FOUNDATION CONNECTION DEVICE AND BASE ISOLATION FOUNDATION STRUCTURE FOR BUILDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation connection device and a base isolation foundation structure for building which can be installed easily on various foundation structures of buildings, can obtain satisfactory base isolation effect particularly against the surface wave propagating in horizontal direction, and are simple in construction and used for general purpose. ;SOLUTION: A base isolation foundation structure comprises a foundation connection device 20 installed between a building foundation 30 and members 10 supported on the upper part of the foundation 30. Also it is provided with a foundation part 32 and a cover part 22 which are provided with circular close-fitting recessed parts fitted closely to each other and connected fixedly to the foundation 30 and supporting member 10, respectively. Then a spring member 40 is stored and arranged in a close-fitted hollow part which is formed with the circular close-fitting recessed parts of the cover part 22 and foundation part 32. In addition, they are connected through a telescoping spring 58 on the outside of the circular close-fitting recessed parts of the foundation part 33 and cover part 22 so that the foundation part 33 and cover part 22 can be displaced in vertical and horizontal directions, respectively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
