PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a screw for connection, to eliminate the dispersion of weight for the rotational center of a coupled polygonal mirror and to reduce eccentricity by calking and coupling the polygon mirror with its supporting board. ;SOLUTION: The supporting board 17 and a boss part 18 are formed on the upper part of the rotor supporting body 11 of the rotor of the polygon mirror, and a rotary shaft 10 is fixed by shrinking in a center piercing the supporting board and the boss part 18. The polygon mirror is made of aluminum of same kind as that of the rotor supporting body 11, and a material with purity higher than that of the rotor supporting body 11 is used in the mirror. An outer periphery is formed in, for example, hexahedron shape provided with six mirrors, and also, a fitting hole fitted in the boss part 18 of the rotor supporting body 11 is formed in the center, and the polygon mirror 19 is coupled by calking with the rotor supporting body 11 by pressing as applying high number of vibration by pressure or an ultrasonic wave, etc. Therefore, no screw for connection is required, and also no tightening adjustment hard to keep a degree of tightening is required.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
