PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the laissez-passer issue system which is improved in maintainability as to programs and data for passage charge calculation and adjusts fares with high reliability. ;SOLUTION: A center machine 3 divides a pass section by companies according to issue conditions from a ticket vending machine 5 and calculates the fare of this company by referring to fare information stored in a storage part in a center machine 3 as to the pass section of this company. For the pass section of another company, an inquiry is sent to the corresponding company through an inter-company network 2, the fare calculation result of the corresponding company is received, and the total fare is calculated by summing up the fare of this company and the fare of the corresponding company. The ticket issuing machine 5 receives the total fare and issues a pass commutating ticket. Even when the fare systems of other companies are changed, the fare information stored in the storage part of this company need not be altered.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
