PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a postal matter processing system capable of easily detecting illegality based upon information collected from 1st and 2nd storage means by collecting information stored in the storage means by a host computer. ;SOLUTION: A postal matter processor 11 is provided with an application means for applying the identification(ID) information of the processor 11 to a postal matter, a reader 12 is provided with a 2nd storage means for storing information related to the postal matter corresponding to the ID information applied by the application means and a host computer is provided with an edition means for editing information respectively stored in the 1st and 2nd storage means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
