PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave absorber light in weight, having excellent electromagnetic absorbing performance over a wide frequency band and capable of being arranged so as to ensure light transmittivity of an arranged part. ;SOLUTION: An electromagnetic wave absorption glass 10 is formed by sealing lots of electromagnetic absorbers 14 in a glass plate 12. The electromagnetic absorber 14 is constituted of an antenna element 16 which is conductive and formed into a pipe shape and whose length L is made shorter than λmin/4 being a minimum wavelength of an electromagnetic wave to be absorbed and a rectifier section 18 provided at both ends of the element 16 and rectifying an AC current induced in the element 16 by an incoming electromagnetic wave into an DC current. Then the elements 16 are arranged in a matrix form so that the lengthwise direction of the elements 16 is directed the same and the plural antenna elements 16 are arranged at a prescribed interval along the direction orthogonal to the lengthwise direction of each element 16.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
