PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric wave-absorbing yarn able to be easily spun like as spinning a conventional yarn composed of a spinnable fiber, thin and light like as a conventional yarn composed of a spinnable fiber and able to be woven by a weaving machine just like as a spinnable fiber and widening an absorbing zone and increasing electric wave-absorbing performance. PSOLUTION: The electric wave-absorbing yarn 1 is constituted of a core yarn 2 composed of a polyester fiber as the spinnable fiber, a twisted yarn 3 composed of a polyester fiber and carbon yarns 4 composed of a carbon fiber, that is, the carbon yarns 4 composed of the carbon fiber and having random lengths are integrally fixed to the core yarn 2 along the core yarn 2 with an interval by the twisted yarn 3. The length of the carbon yarns 4 is set to be 255 mm, that is, to have a random length in the range of 20-30 mm, that is, the yarn 1 is produced to absorb an electric wave having a wave length around 5.8 GHz (about 25 mm) used in ETC systems.
