JOINT FOR HANDRAIL OR THE LIKE AND HANDRAIL BENDING METHOD USING SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a handrail in a desired shape by bending a joint made by soft synthetic resin or elastomer at a desired angle. ;SOLUTION: A handrail 4 is made by timber, metal, hard synthetic resin or the like and formed in a straight line. Plural joints 8 are interposed in the midway of the handrail, made adhere by an adhesive agent and screw-engaged or joined to each other by the above combination. While each joint 8 is bent from the straight handrail 4 at a desired angle, the handrail 4 is fixed to the wall 10 by plural fixtures 9. Thus, the handrail 4 along the staircase 1 can be easily formed. As the joint 8 is thus rich in flexibility and easily bent as it is or by heating at a low temperature, a handrail 4 of a desired form can be formed easily and efficiently.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
