PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely clamp and separate a base material to vertically discharge so as not to give flaws or deformation to the base material by setting a static friction coefficient between a clamp of a clamping device for separating and discharging a cylindrical base material and the inner surface of the cylindrical base material at a specified value. ;SOLUTION: A separation/discharge means 60 for separating and discharging a cylindrical base material 1A after coating/drying is inserted into cylindrical base materials 1A, 1B. A lower clamp 64 is brought into contact with the inner surface of the cylindrical base material 1B adjacent to the cylindrical base material to be separated 1A to be held. Next, an upper clamp 63 is brought into contact with the inner surface of the cylindrical base material to be separated 1A to be held. The upper clamp 63 is moved upward by an air cylinder 62 while holding the cylindrical base material to be separated 1A, which is separated from the adjacent cylindrical base material 1B and is discharged. A static friction coefficient of the upper and lower clamps 63, 64 to the inner surfaces of the cylindrical base materials 1A, 1B is set at 0.6-3.0. By this method, when a photosensitive body or the like is continuously coated with a coating liquid and then the coating liquid is separated and discharged, the clamps are surely clamped and separated without damaging or deforming the photosensitive body, and the coating liquid is stably discharged and housed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
