PURPOSE: To accurately measure the weight unbalance of a wheel by suppressing the influence of uniformity. CONSTITUTION: An instrument for measuring unbalanced amount of wheel is provided with a driving means 54 which drives a roller 3 that can support a wheel 2, rotation detecting means 51 which detects the rotational speed of the wheel 2, vertical vibration detecting means 53 which detects the vertical vibration of the wheel 2 caused by the unbalanced amount of the wheel 2 through the roller 3, forward-backward vibration detecting means 52 which detects the forward-backward vibration of the wheel 2 caused by the unbalanced amount of the wheel 2, vertical vibrational vector calculating means 55 which calculates the vertical vibrational vector VR from the detected values of the rotational speed and vertical vibration of the wheel 2, forward-backward vibrational vector calculating means 56 which calculates the forward-backward vibrational vector VH from the detected values of the rotational speed and forward-backward vibration of the wheel 2, and vibration reducing vector calculating means 57 which calculates the vibration reducing vector VS which reduces the vibration of a vehicle from the vertical and forward-backward vibrational vectors VR and VH.
