PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photosensitive resin compsn. which allows ultraviolet rays to sufficiently reach the depth of a film formed from the compsn. to effect curing at the step of image formation and exhibits an increase in ultraviolet-absorbing capability when subjected to succeeding heat treatment by using a specific ultraviolet-absorber precursor compd. ;SOLUTION: This compsn. contains an ultraviolet-absorber precursor compd. represented by formula I {wherein A is a group represented by formula II [wherein R1 is a (substd.) alkylcarbonyl, a (substd.) aralkylcarbonyl, a (substd.) arylcarbonyl, or a (substd.) alkoxycarbonyl; R2 is H, a (substd.) alkylcarbonyl, a (substd.) aralkylcarbonyl, a (substd.) arylcarbonyl, or a (substd.) alkoxycarbonyl; and R3 is H or a lower alkyl]}. The compd. has a relatively low ultraviolet-absorbing capability in the normal state; however, when thermally treated it becomes capable of functioning as an ultraviolet absorber. Therefore, a film formed from the comps. and not thermally treated allows ultraviolet rays to sufficiently reach its depth and thereby is cured to the depth at the step of image formation, and the succeeding heat treatment increases the ultraviolet-absorbing capability of the film, thus enabling the image formation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
