PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate the image data based on an image light never changed in polarization state from two image lights changed in polarized state by providing an image processing device with a generating means for performing a proportional distribution according to a prescribed coefficient to first and second image signals to generate first and second image data. SOLUTION: The image of an eye 750 is guided to an image processing device 500 through an objective lens unit 700, and displayed on a CRT 111, and it is also stored in a recorder 109. Two polar screens 703L, 703R are arranged within the lens-barrel of the objective lens unit 700, whereby the X, Y directionally polarized lights from an object to be monitored are separated. These polarized lights are carried to analyzers 702L, 702R, then converted into electric signals by CCD 103L, 103R, and carried to a separating circuit 105 after A/D conversion. Each data is proportionally distributed according a prescribed coefficient, whereby left eye and right eye image signals L, R are extracted in separated state.
