COMPLEX ELECTRICITY GENERATING SYSTEM FOR REMOVING CO2 AND GASIFYING COAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complex electricity generating system for removing CO₂ and gasifying coal, capable of eliminating a hydrogen chloride gas contained in a coal-gasified gas, raising a CO conversion ratio and recovering a carbon dioxide gas. ;SOLUTION: This system is constituted to gasify fuel such as coal in a gasifying furnace 10, to generate a high-temperature coal-gasified gas and utilizing the gas for power generation. In the system, the coal-gasified gas from the gasifying furnace 10 is passed through a wet type scrubber 14 to remove hydrogen chloride in the gas, introduced into a shift converter 16, system is supplied to the shift converter 16 and CO in the gas is converted into CO₂. Then the coal-gasified gas is passed through a carbon dioxide gas removing apparatus 24 to remove CO₂.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
