VERTICALLY AND HORIZONTALLY MOVED COMMON RESPONSE-CONTROL STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure displaying an effective response-control effect by using a response controller common even in vertical vibrations and horizontal vibrations. ;SOLUTION: Oblique bracings 2 are installed into a column-beam frame surface 1, response controllers 3 are inserted on their midways to the bracings, and the damping coefficient of the response controller 3 is changed into one fitted to the case of vertical vibrations and the case of horizontal vibrations, respectively, in a structure. Or a top beam is sprung out from the top section of a structure in the multistoried structure, and borne by a post through the response controller, and the damping coefficient of the response controller between the top beam and the post is changed into a value fitted to the case of vertical vibrations and the case of horizontal vibrations, respectively, in the structure.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
