PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a focusing characteristic in a full current region of an electron beam and to attain a superior resolution by a method wherein a magnetic path formed by a deflection aberration correcting member is arranged in a deflecting magnetic field in a cathode ray tube to form a non-uniform magnetic field. ;SOLUTION: A deflection aberration member having a non-magnetic material and a magnetic material adhered to each other is fixed to an anode 4 in a deflecting magnetic field of a cathode ray tube. An electron beam 62 passing through a part spaced apart from a central lotus of an electron beam during deflection has a large amount of dispersion as compared with that of an electron beam 63 under a non-deflected state while it passes through the magnetic field and an entire lotus is also moved away from a central lotus of the electron beam under a non-deflected state. In addition, a degree of changing in the lotus is large on a side spaced apart from the central lotus of the electron beam in a non-deflected state. A non-uniform magnetic field corresponding to such an amount of deflection is formed in a deflected magnetic field, thereby it is possible to attain an image displaying device in which a dispersion action of the electron beam is accelerated in response to an amount of deflection of the electron beam, the deflection deviation correction can be attained in the case that the deflection aberration may enforce a converging action of the electron beam.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
