HEAVY-WEIGHT CONCRETE AND SPECIAL SHAPE BLOCK USING CONCRETE OF HIGH SPECIFIC GRAVITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a heavy weight concrete which uses aggregate of high specific gravity and can inhibit the compression bleeding, when a large-sized special concrete block is produced utilizing the vibrating compaction technique. ;SOLUTION: This heavy concrete contains fine aggregates and coarse aggregates where a part or the whole of at least one aggregate is an aggregate material of a high specific gravity of iron ore and iron sand. This heavy concrete contains a water-soluble polymer and its content is adjusted so that the viscosity of an aqueous solution of the water-soluble polymer may come in the range from 3 to 15mPa.s, when the water-soluble polymer is dissolved in water in the same amount of the polymer and the viscosity is measured at 20°C.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
