PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vascular obturator and a production method thereof conforming to anatomy. SOLUTION: This vascular orturator 100 can be arranged in a shape such as spherical, egg shaped, or other deformed spherical, and has a self-forming shape made from a preformed vascular obturator member 100. Since this vascular obturator member is sufficiently linear before arrangement, it can be pushed out without excess friction from a catheter for a vascular vessel. This vascular obturator 100 is a small spirally wound coil or a braid, and contains various suitable metals, or, in case of a braid, such metals as those can be braided with various kinds of polymer fiber or natural fiber. This obturator 100 is passed through along a catheter sheath in the axial direction and presents the shape when going out of the catheter without further manipulation. Ways to form the vascular obturator 100 of an anatomical form by winding in suitable shapes and annealing to form various obturators are presented.
