PURPOSE: To correct the error of a pole position signal and to improve the torque control accuracy of a synchronous motor by judging that an error occurs at the signal when the absolute value of error power which is of the difference between the DC input power calculated value of an inverter to be provided and the machine output calculated value of the motor becomes a set value or more. ;CONSTITUTION: When an error occurs at the pole signal θ5 of a permanent magnet type synchronous motor 3, a torque control accuracy is lowered, and erroneous power ΔP is generated between the machine output calculated value Pm calculated by a multiplier 11 based on a torque command value and the DC input power calculated value PDC. Accordingly, when a set value is suitably decided in a window comparator 13 and the power ΔP becomes the set value or more, an informing signal is output, and hence the error of the position signal can be detected. Thus, the error of the pole position signal θf is corrected to improve the torque control accuracy of a synchronous generator.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
