GOOD-QUALITY ROTTING AND RIPENING METHOD FOR ANIMAL ORGANIC FERTILIZER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain good-quality rotten and ripened org. fertilizer having an excellent effect of suppressing plant disease injury by fermenting the animal org. fertilizer at a prescribed external temp. and moisture content. SOLUTION: One or more kinds selected from among dry blood, meat and bone powder, fish meal, fish meat, meat scrap powder and bone powder are used as the animal org. fertilizer. While fermentation may be effected as it is without addition of anything, the fermentation may be effected by adding the fermentation bacteria ordinarily used to obtain fertilizers, for example, bacteria belonging to Bacillacea and Clostridium, to the fertilizer. The fermentation is effected at the external temp. of 25 to 35 deg.C and moisture content of 15 to 35%. The initial moisture content at the time of starting the fermentation is preferably set at 20 to 35%. While the fermentation period is about 5 to 8 weeks, the moisture content is preferably set at 20 to 35% in the first half part of the fermentation period, for at least 2.5 to 4 weeks. The fermentation is particularly executed under the conditions of the external temp. 30 deg.C and the initial moisture content 21.7 to 27.7%. The effect of suppressing the occurrence of the plant disease injury is obtd. by the fermentation by an ordinary stationary deposition method.
