摘要
PURPOSE: To obtain a raw material for non-white pottery and porcelain for yielding porcelain and pottery which are light in weight, averaged in load and excellent in strength by adding body and specific reinforcing material into water uniformly dispersed with SHIRASU (pumiceous sand) balloons and subjecting the mixture to a dehydration treatment after stirring. ;CONSTITUTION: SHIRASU rocks 10 are pulverized and the pulverized matter 12 is fired and expanded by heating to form the SHIRASU balloons. The SHIRASU balloons having a grain size of about 25 to 280 microns are sorted by a vibration type net sieving machine 14. The sorted SHIRASU balloons 13 are then treated by a magnet filter 16, by which magnetic impurities 18 are removed. The resulted and refined SHIRASU balloons 20 are charged into a water tank 24 in which the water 22 is house, where the SHIRASU balloons are stirred and mixed, thereby SHIRASU balloons are uniformly dispersed; thereafter, the body 26 and the reinforcing materials 28 selected from alumina, zircon, cristoballite, magnesia and magnesia-contg. tiles are charged into the water tank 24, where the mixture is uniformly dispersed by stirring. The mixture is then subjected to the dehydrating treatment by a dehydrating machine 29, by which the raw material for the white porcelain and pottery is obtd. There is no need for a stage for removing the impurities 18 in the case of producing the raw material for the non-white porcelain and pottery.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
