PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select the presence of a forced closing device, to facilitate addition of the forced closing device at a later stage, and besides to easily confirm that a sliding door is forcibly closed, an to easily return the forced closing device. ;SOLUTION: A timing belt 204 connected to a horizontally sliding door is run around a driven pulley 6 and the driven pulley 6 is rotated according to opening and closing of the sliding door. When a sliding door is released and stopped by a given time by a user, a stopper arm 9 of a sliding door stop device 8 pressurizes the timing belt 204 to maintain the stop state of the sliding door. A forced closing device 3 has a shaft 2 for release is moved in the direction of an arrow mark 92 when abnormality occurs, and pushes up the stopper arm 9 of the sliding door stop device 8, releases limitation on the driven pulley 6, and automatically closes the sliding door. Through movement of the shaft 2 for release, a taper part 35 is forced into contact with a roller part 24, and a switch 22 is turned ON to output a closing confirmation signal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
