PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly detect a failure in a subsystem by periodically decide the difference of the load sizes of first and second control devices, to compare the differences between a periodically decided difference and that of the load of the preceeding period, to calculate fatigue damage obtained from the change of a load. SOLUTION: The subsystem of a main aircraft flight steering system controls the position of the steering wing surface 50 of an aircraft by the cooperation of two hydraulic actuators 100 and 110. The working pressure (DP) of each actuator 100 and 110 is monitored periodically by control electronics 102 and 112, to send a DP signal to a main flight control computer 140. Here, the critical variables of at least two control devices cooperating at actual time are monitored and also the difference between the variables are calculated, and moreover filter-processed for removing an unsignificant fluctuation, and then to evaluate structural fatigue damage, thereby displaying the result.
