EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN VALVE WITH EMERGENCY RELIEF FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have the functions of two emergency shutdown valves and one emergency relief valve together. ;SOLUTION: A butterfly valve 13 is interposed on the way of a double pipe consisting of an inner pipe 11 and an outer pipe 12 fitted coaxially and a valve open/close device 14 for opening/closing the butterfly valve 13 is installed and a butterfly valve 13 has a valve box 13a connected to the outer pipe 12 and a valve body 13b installed openably/closably in the valve box 13a and a connection pipe 15 connectable to the inner pipe 11 is installed on the valve body 13b. The valve opening/closing device 14 has a spring 16 for energizing the valve body 13b in a closing direction and a cylinder device 17 for making the valve body 13b in a relief state against the spring 16 by receiving the water pressure of a city water circulating an upperstream side inner pipe 11a through a communicating pipe 22.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
