SILK VELVET FABRIC OR KNITTED FABRIC AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silk velvet fabric or knitted fabric capable of utilizing original gloss, skin touch, touch feeling and handle which silk products have to other wide products by weaving waste silk or silk by a general pile loom or a knitting machine. ;SOLUTION: Waste silk or silk is subjected to twisting treatment to form a silk yarn and the silk yarn is sized or steamed with steam for 10min to 20min and the treated silk yarn is woven or knitted to velvet fabric or knitted fabric and a sizing agent is removed and simultaneously the seal fabric or the knitted fabric is shrunk by immersing the fabric in warm water and cut and the cut pile is fastened by ground structure. Thereby, a fabric having feeling gentle to skin which conventional every silk products have not and having highest touch feeling which has been experienced hitherto can be obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
