PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a high-quality broad fabric having 150 cm width by removing the possibility for producing defects such as color shading, friction marks, wrinkles or folding caused by the piece dyeing and raising the fastness. ;SOLUTION: This method for producing a woven or a knitted fabric using a yarn dyed raw silk is composed by providing a dyeing step for dyeing sericin and internal fibroin covering the periphery of a silk raw silk to the same color (step 3), yarn dyed raw silk twisting steps for doubling dyed silk fibers, twisting the double fibers and preparing the yarn dyed raw silk (steps 4 and 5), a fabric producing step for weaving or knitting the yarn dyed raw silk and producing the fabric (step 6), a swelling step for dipping the produced fabric in a hot water bath and swelling the yarn dyed raw silk constituting the fabric (step 7) and an enzyme degumming step for treating the fabric with an enzyme capable of hydrolyzing the sericin in the swollen yarn dyed raw silk and hydrolyzing the sericin in the yarn dyed raw silk (step 8).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
