PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to effectively eliminate the influence of the short- time memory of the intervals having a disturbing characteristic particularly to a testee or trainee and the other sound signals which are the origin for the same with an apparatus for inspecting or training the perfect pitch. ;SOLUTION: A testee 6 is made to listen to the white noises or random signals without intervals generated from a white noise generator 2 of about ≥80dB from a speaker, headphone or earphone 3 for at least about 15 to 30 seconds at the time of starting the strokes for inspection and training or during the respective strokes after the testee is accommodated into an acoustic shielding room 7 at need. The sounds having the intervals given by a variable frequency oscillator 1 are thereafter transcribed or the oscillation frequencies, i.e., pitches, are tuned to the intervals required by a frequency control knob 8, by which the exactness thereof is evaluated or the result of the evaluation is fed back to the testee.
