HIGH VISCOSITY CEMENT SETTING RETARDER AND WASHING FINISH METHOD OF WATER PERMEABLE CONCRETE USING SETTING RETARDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily apply washing finish to the surface of aggregate by retarding the setting only of the cement component of a surface layer part and to develop beautiful surface appearance especially when natural stones high in decorative properties are used as aggregate by adding a thicknener to a cement setting retarder so as to obtain predetermined viscosity. ;SOLUTION: This high viscosity cement setting retarder 1 is prepared by mixing respective components so that the viscosity thereof becomes 90-120 poise. The addition amt. of a thickner is different according to the kind of the thickner. When this high viscosity cement setting retarder 1 is sprinkled, the surface part of a water permeable concrete layer is held to a continuous fine void state and, therefore, the setting only of the surface layer part of the concrete layer is retarded and the cement component around the aggregate 3 of the surface layer part can be washed off by washing finish. Since water may be supplied, for example, by a hose in the washing finish of water permeable concrete, large equipment investiment is not required and the falling-off of the aggregate 3 is not generated and, as a result, appearance is not damaged.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
