SOLUTION: This protein -sheet predictor comprises a residue pair predicting part 11 for predicting to what extent optional residue pairs of a protein sequence may form pairs, a virtual distance holding part 12 for holding the virtual distance between the optional residue pairs of the protein sequence, a -sheet holding part 13 for holding the predicted residue pairs, an energy calculating part 14 for calculating a virtual stable energy of the -sheets composed of the plural residue pairs and a prediction controlling part 15 for controlling the residue pair predicting part 11, the virtual distance holding part 12, the -sheet holding part 13 and the energy calculating part 14 and predicting the -sheets one by one.
