PURPOSE: To provide an automatic money receiving and paying device and inspection ticket which attain not only the confirmation of whether or not a bill stays in a conveyance path by the use of the inspection ticket, but also other processes. CONSTITUTION: A bill reception and payment unit 14 has a bill storage chamber 32 and plural safes 50, 51, and 52 and a bill is conveyed by a conveying mechanism having many conveyor belts and conveyor rollers through the conveyance path provided between the bill storage part 32 and safes 50-52. An inspection ticket storage part 80 which contains a patrol ticket 82 is provided nearby the bill storage chamber 32. The patrol ticket 82 is equipped with a base material of the same size with a bill, and abrasive materials or cleaning materials are adhered to both the surfaces of the base material. The patrol ticket 82 which is taken out of the inspection ticket storage part 80 while conveyed through the conveyance path polishes the conveyor roller surfaces with the abrasive materials or cleans the detection part of a detector 71 provided in the conveyance path with the cleaning materials.
