PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for carrying out a stationary cleaning of a heat exchanger which can shorten a cleaning time and requires only a small-sized pump of a low electric power consumption so that an investment for installation and a running cost can be reduced, and provide and a plate-type heat exchanger equipped with the apparatus. ;SOLUTION: In a method for carrying out a stationary cleaning on heat exchangers 150, 160 which are arranged on passages 181a, 181b using a predetermined amount of cleaning liquid, the passages 181a, 181b which are respectively communicated with an inlet opening of the heat exchanger 150 and an outlet opening of the heat exchanger 160 are directly communicated so as to return a part of the cleaning liquid from the passage 181b to the passage 181a thus increasing a flow rate of the cleaning liquid which passes through the heat exchanger 150, 160.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
