PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a catalyst for liquid catalytic reaction best suited for the manufacture of 2C of more hydrocarbon from methane by the oxidation coupling reaction of methane. ;SOLUTION: This catalyst for liquid catalytic reaction for the manufacture of 2C or more hydrocarbon using methane as raw material consists of an A component of an alkali earth metal oxide, a B component of an alkali metal compound, a C component of a binder, a D component of a sintering agent as a ceramic or tile glaze, and an E component of a fusing agent which is a boron compound. First a slurry is obtained which is composed of 50-94wt.% of the A component, 1-20wt.% of the B component, 1-20wt.% of the C component, 3-30wt.% of the D component and 0-30wt.% of the E component.
